tv cable adjustment
ok ive installed a 700r4 into my 1995 gmc jimmy i installed a carb having trouble getting that cable in the right spot........ i get it to go thru the gears but it doesnt seem to down shift ...... thanks E

You need to get the TV Cable Geometry Corrector, and the correct bracket. Proper TV cable adjustment is not something to be taken lightly with a 700R4/4L60, improper adjustment and abuse can trash them FAST. To quote B&M, in their shift kit instructions, if the TV cable is not properly adjusted, "the trans can be destroyed in ONE SHIFT"!! That may be just a little overly dramatic, but it can also be true under the right circumstances

i took all the fuel injection and installed a intake and carb because it was running way to rich and nobody could fiqure it out so out with the fuel injection .. i took out the 4l60e after it died with 200,777 miles on it so now im stuck with this problem had it close but tried to get it better and it got worse so i try again today

If you're handy with fabricating, you can save yourself some time and trouble by making the stuff yourself. You will find instructions for what the brackets need to look like and do here:
http://www.bmracing.com/bmracing/ins...9500260-12.pdf , there is also a pressure chart to help make sure you get it right, if you have access to a trans pressure gauge.
