TV Cable adjustment / WOT

I run a th200-4r that is a fresh rebuild. I have setup the TV with a gage, and it shifts fine. Problem is, when I do WOT, the TV cable becomes so tight that it stops the throttle linkage from opening up all the way. I am at risk of bending the throttle plates, because the TV cable bottoms out before the throttle does.

I am using a Holley 850, and a Lokar throttle cable, and a stock GM TV setup. Does the TV need to be a 1:1 ratio, or can it be less, like 1:.75??

The throw on the cam of your carb is not matched to the required throw of the TV valve on the tranny. Get a 200R4 TV cable adapter from Bowtie Overdrives and that will solve your problems.

I bought the whole setup from BTO, and all the accessories with it.
Thanks for the purple sage site, that was great reading!!

I'll get this figured out soon enough.
