TV cable geometry on a Holley carb

I just installed a 200-4R trans in my Impala. I have a Holley 600 that I bought the TV bracket & TV geometry corrector for (Holley parts). I've seen all the diagrams and read for hours on how to adjust the cable correctly. I believe I've done so, but I have a question. I've seen multiple diagrams that say 1/3 of the travel before 90° to the throttle shaft. My setup is much more like 1/2 before/after. Total travel seems real good, is the 1/3 travel really important?

Moving to the trans forum, hopefully, the trans guru's will help you out.

I'd hardly call myself a guru, but I can try and help.

You've probably seen the illustration below. If not, basically make sure your TV cable hookup is 1.125" below the centerline of your throttle shaft.

Also make sure that when the throttle is floored, the TV is at 'full pull'.

Thanks, I have seen them. The cable to centerline distance is right on the 1.125 dimension, and I am at full pull @ WOT. It's just like that photo below where must of the arc is in front of the throttle centerline. The Holley setup I've got puts the arc further back. Of course, all the photo's I find are Q'jets or Edelbrock carbs, or tv-ez setups. I'm assuming it won't be a problem, or Holley wouldn't be selling a part, I have followed their install fully.
