Two kinds of Holley 94's?

Hi all, my intake and carbs were safely smuggled into the UK thanks to my mom, and will be smuggled into SA in July. My brother took some more detailed pictures for me than I got from the guy who sold it to me.

It seems I have two kinds of 94's on here judging from the tops of the carbs. Can anyone shed light on this for me?

Thanks!

Rich

They look the same to me. The only thing I canm tell that is different is the fuel fittings. Those are interchangeable.

Are the part numbers the same on each carb?

I am not sure about the part numbers because I can't get at them myself yet, but I'll ask my brother to check. If you look at the very top rim of the carbs you will be a difference between the bank closest to the camera and the bank behind them. I'm not that worried, as you say they all are definitely 94's but I wanted to check just to make sure. My brother mentioned that three are slightly taller than the other three but it seems that when the air cleaners are installed everything lines up right.

I just thought it a bit strange that's all. I suppose it's wishful thinking to expect six totally identical carbs on a 6x2 setup. I was seeing the same thing looking at Stromberg 97 setups, some would be small logo 97's others large logo 97's on the same intake.

Doesn't matter I guess.

Thanks!

Rich

Maybe the carb manufacturer had different tops for different air assembly fastening systems.Flow should be the same.Magnificent set up.

I see what you are saying. The throttle openings are different. As long as they flow the same and are calibrated the same it should be fine. The way you can tell is to see what factory restrictions they came with. For instance Holleys have jets and ide feed restrictions. See if they are the same in each carb.

You could also measure some of the restrications in each type of carb. By eye may even be accurate enough for this.

The ones in the "top" row are from earlier applications where the air cleaner attaches with a metal band type clamp. The others are newer the aircleaner fits onto the flange and is attached by the center bolt.
