Two Q's about 58 ford power steering

Question one, my 58 ford came with manual steering, I bought all the power steering linkage from a 59 (Less the cylinder) to install and make the 58 ps. Do i have to replace the steering box, I thought they were the same.... q? two, i need the cylinder, does anybody know what will fit (besides 57 58 59) with may be a little modification......Thanks

The box should work fine. Some power steering systems used a quicker box, but not by a lot. The slave cylinders should be able to be used from several early Fords. They used the same system until the late 60s and into the 70s. They were used on trucks as well. I'll look through an old interchange and see if there is a direct swap, but most should be adaptable.
