TX Hotrods and Rockabilly
Any one in West Texas or New Mexico: there is a car show and the BEST Live Rockabilly music this Saturday (31st) and the Buddy Holly Center in Lubbock TX.
There is a show and shine all day and performances by High Noon, Cave Catt Sammy and others. If you can make it...you won't regret it. The music starts at noon and goes till at least midnight <img src="graemlins/evil.gif" border="0" alt="[evil]" />

MMM, would love to! went to Lubbock once & saw a bodyshop called BodyHolly thought that was kinda Kool. If you ever make it to England do it in May & do Hemsby plenty of Rods & rockabilly, High Noon have played there!

Lived in Lubbock for years! Texas Tech Graduate, bartender at the Elephant Bar (gone now) manager of Peppers Mexican hung out at the Continental Club and Clearwater. I have great clouded memories of Lubonia and Leveland. Stationed at Reese packing parachuttes as well.

too bad you aren't in lubbock now, this is gonna be the coolest thing that has happened here in a while....what did you major in at tech?? I am sophomore mechanical engineering student..

Just remembered saw a sheet load of tri-Chevies in a yard sitting there rotting slowly, are they still there??

i am not sure, i haven't seen that yard. but there is a yard with 6, yes six shoebox fords sitting there rotting, all of them two doors and two of them were coupes. in the same yard there is also a 38 for coupe and a 40 sedan. The guy won't sell a damn thing out of there though....

Can't remember exactly but it was on the way to Buddy's grave, it was an industrial area & wasn't hidden from veiw, about 4 years ago! there was about 50 or so cars in there & some nomads.
