Post U-Joint phaseing

How do you phase U-Joints to prevent driveline vibration?

bubble level or angle master, across the ears, industry standard is 4degrees, when we make new ones, we stay with in 2.
some old shafts are 90 deg. out for a reason, but i don't know what the reason is.

The reason is double cardan universals.

yes, but both weld yokes are in phase.
spicer style doubble cardens are over built, i'll take a saginaw any day!
i meant a plain old shaft, 2 joints, slip at the trans. I'll ask my boss, he knows that stuff.
