I can't in a million years imagine giving a crap about what the dudes in the black helicopters are doing. Honestly, they have better things to do.

Miss info

Well Cobalt327, I am well aware that an aftermarket SBC block can be purchased with BBC cam bores, the guy talking about the cam wasn't smart enough to know that and he obviously was not referring to that. It's great that you feel smarter though.

BTW, this was not a dig at Studebaker.
If you want to piss and moan, at least do it to someone who WAS disrespectful to you.

And I'm wondering how the hell you know so much about this guy's intelligence. You must be a savant.

I use to have a 53' Savant. It didn't go very fast, got lousy gas mileage, but the retractable fenders made it worthwhile!

Stude, Cobalt was as kind as can be in pointing that cam info out. Stich and I "Dissed" you if any one did. Don't be beating up on Cobalt. My argument on this whole thread is people are people so why should it be you and I should get along so awfully.....whew, sorry Depeche Mode just popped into my head.

Honestly, these terms "Intercepter", "Rocket", "3/4 cam", and "Big block cam" can get so watered down thru the use they loose all their "meat". Over the years more and more people say it without a full understanding of it's meaning and next thing you know it's an empty term. They aren't dumb, the meaning has changed that's all.

On the big block cam, I sure as hell didn't know what Cobalt taught me, didn't have a clue! That guy who said it could very possibly heard this and was just talking to be a part of the conversation. He miss used it, or he didn't, that block could VERY WELL have been exactly that, a small block with big block cam journals, we have NO IDEA if it was or wasn't. That could be the only thing right that dude said all day while he called a 39 Standard a 38 and a Flathead a Hemi and a 48 Chevy pickup a 51 because it looks just like his uncles 51. Who knows, and who does it really effect, no one.

Boy I sure sounded stupid those first few baseball games I went to when I was trying to talk like I knew what the heck was going on. I will live in shame for ever because someone is talking right now on a baseball forum about the moron sitting next to them at a game years ago.........

most time the one you'd call "that guy" isn't as dumb as you think, sometimes it's the terminology they use. that may not be the "correct" wording..
now tell me what c.i.d. your motor is

Yep, one in the same. They can be found in the movies, but some people believe they fly over their house at night with ex-ray cameras watching everything they do.

I recently had someone tell me that the FBI can track you buy using your tire monitoring system. I am to the point now where I just say "really" and walk away.

I have a big block cam in my 496!
I know some of the Sheriff Deputies around here n I looked at one of the motors this morning at a convenience store.
Very large radiator, with huge trans cooler in front, alternator the size of a breadbox,i was talking to the deputy n he said he didnt know the horsepower but the car would go so fast ti scared him.
I dont know if its like this in the city but here they still chase a lot.
I know you cant outrun a radio but there isnt that many deputies on duty out in the sticks so they still have to give chase a lot.
