Appendix, no worries. Well, unless it bursts and you are on a desert island.

Liver... I don't think I need to elaborate. Good luck.

It's not only drinking that can screw up your liver, too many of the wrong kind of pills can also, even over the counter ones. Then too your kidney might not have the right numbers, and that can lead too the liver. Your apendix, like Cobalt said is no big deal, it's more or less a throw away organ.

I have a lot of problems with my heart, checking my labs all the time. you wouldn't guess how one affects the other. If I were you just not worry about it untill after you can ask the DR. whats going on. Your the boss even though a lot of doctors think they are.

Ask a lot of questions.

Bob

My Dad had a growth on his liver. They operated to remove it. It was benign and he recovered well. Don't borrow trouble until it is time. God bless.

Tylenol and Acetaminophen causes severer liver damage, If your on long treatments for pain these meds need to be watched carefully! Put me in a Coma after cancer treatments! Even when taking over the counter types of these meds it destroys the liver!!! And people dont know it!!!!!! The liver causes pain when getting bad, you take more Tylenol for the pain the liver gets worse and you take more Tylenol for the pain that the Tylenol is actually causing!

Many other drugs do the same thing

Your test is probably just routine! Ask you doctor about the test!!!!! He cant hide it from you he has to tell you the truth unless your family or someone else is interfering with you and your doctors communication!!! Don't ask health questions on line!!!!!!!! That's the worst thing you can do!

If someone else is responsible for your care like parents or a guardian your Doctor will tell them not you! And cut you out of the Consultations!!!!!!!

If your Doctor wont tell you get another that will!!

No point in worrying - let them do the test, then find out what they learned. Could be just precautionary. I had 'funny' kidney numbers once, they did a biopsy - that was 30 years ago, I'm still here. Worrying is counterproductive - if you find out you have a problem, do what you can to fix it/make it better, but worrying doesn't help.

X2. The way the doctors work nowadays, they are very good at CYA if you follow me. No stone unturned, even if it's a long shot. I suppose that's not a bad thing, but it can lead to a lot more tests and such that might not be needed. But again, better to be sure than to have them guess wrong.

Likely all will come back just fine. At least the odds are in your favor.

Have you had any liver blood tests done? I was diagnosed with a fatty liver about 30 years ago. Had two different biopsies done that didn't prove anything. For a while my liver enzymes were really high, then started coming down on their own. Never did figure out why. Common causes of fatty liver? Alcohol (don't drink) and obesity (I'm not fat). If it looks like you may have liver problems, see a GOOD specialist, not just a GP. Good luck.
