Unable to pull cam

I have a 93, 4.3 chevy I am rebuilding
I have only a bear block left with only the cam left to remove but it will not come out it move about 1/8" but that it.
how do I get it out ?

something must be blocking one of the cam lobes? Maybe a badly worn cam bearing with a ridge? John

I know this is a dumb question;but,is there a small plate behind your cam gear with 2 bolts in it ?

time for the torches! j/k Are you reusing the cam? if not you can use an air hammer to vibrate it out...just don't hit the block or the cam bearings


i used the air chisel on a JUNK pontiac 350 that had the cam covered in rust.
