The 'Unanswered Posts' link is just like clicking 'New Posts' or 'Today's Posts' except it does not include posts from the 'Projects/Builds/My Ride' section.

Doesn't make any sense to me either.

All three of those links do mostly the same thing. Years ago, the 'unanswered posts' link used to bring up all the recent posts excluding items from the Off-Topic/Hotrodders Lounge section, but it got changed about 4-5 years ago.

Hope this helps...

I can't find any reason why the Builds section is excluded from that page. Before I do some digging into fixing, wanted to check whether people thought it might be better to just remove that option from the nav bar, if it doesn't do what it was initially intended to anymore anyways.

Not sure why the Unanswered Posts was put there to start with. I instituted the Builds section a couple of years ago, I believe it was just after VerticalScope bought the forum.......That may why it not be on the page.

My opinion, the Unanswered Posts and the Todays Posts could be eliminated........Many forums just use the New Posts to read new posts.

So it was like a status setting for the thread? Unanswered Posts was less of a "hasn't been replied to" list of threads, more of a "baffling question that still needs sorting" list of threads?

Not sure how that worked before, but I'm not seeing any way of marking a thread as "answered" right now, besides closing it.

no status involved. more like who could answer the question or solve the problem as most of the members could`nt provide an answer.

Hey guys,

Does anyone else want to chime in on whether or not they would like to keep the Unanswered Posts link in the navbar? If most folks are pro the idea of removing that link we'll run it by the mod team to make sure they don't have any qualms with that.

At one time the unanswered posts link went to a list of individual posts that had not received a response. Convenient for the mods and expert guys to check on to see that the individual got a response or was directed to a link where he got answers. Also works to help us D/X spammers. I would hope we could et it back to where it was.

Thanks Onemoretime. And that's why it didn't include Builds? Not really a section that requires extra looking into right?

Builds is not a section where we need to look. We have project journals or had them I am not sure i really understand the need for the builds section. Oh well leave it as it has been up too long now.

I put the Builds section in because people were not using the Photo Journals and hardly anyone seemed to be looking at it....Also, was getting complaints that it is hard to use and edit. A section on the main board just made more sense, to me anyways.
