"six days on the road and I a gonna make it home tonight...."
My Dad LOOOOOVES Hank Snow. We used to listen to this tape over and over and over again on long car trips. I still smile whenever I hear one of his songs. Chickie. |

And I guess I should-a gone ahead and run
But somehow I couldn't resist the fun Of chasin' them all just once around the parkin' lot Well, they're headin' for their car, but I hit the gas And spun around and headed them off at the pass I was slingin' gravel and puttin' a ton of dust in the air Well, I had 'em all out there steppin' and fetchin' Like their heads were on fire and their ***** was catchin' But I figured I oughta go ahead an split before the cops got there |

CDB Rocks!
I saw them about a year ago in concert at the casino and boy was I surprised. I figured they would be pretty good but Charlie blew me away. He sawed through three or four bows on his encore of 'Devil Went Down to Georgia", and "The Legend of Wooley Swamp" is still a haunting song. To make things better I walked out after the concert and popped five bucks in quarter machine and won $80.00

"When I hit the road I was really wheelin. Had gravel flyin' and rubber squealin' and I didn't slow down till I was almost to Arkansas. Well I think I'm gonna reroute my trip. I wonder if anybody'd think I'd flipped if I. . . . . .went to L.A.. . . . via Omaha."
Anybody heard Uneasy Rider '88? The sequel to that song is almost as good as the original. By the way, Chalie is playing in Nashville Motor Speedway in Apr. for Mustang's 40th anniversary. MoocH |

I agree mooch, the 88' version is good also! I guess that I was young and impressionable when the original came out though!!
Anyway, YOU put an ending on that song, why didn't you start another? Maybe somethin' like "I get off on Main Street......step into the crowd.......sidewalk under my feet.......traffics good and loud.....? Or you choose?
