The Unicorn

Does anyone know what happened to the sectioned 1948 Mercury known as "The Unicorn"?
It was built by Clarkaiser Customs of Detroit for Leo and Adele Volpe in the early 50's; burned in the late-50's, them it (or a clone) showed up in the November 1977 issue of Hot Rod Magazine under the stewardship of Tom Philpot; who also built "Arctic Gold", a clone of the Clarkaiser "Arctic Sand"

Yes, that's the one I was looking for :D
Any info on what has happened to it over the past 30 years?
I was 15 years old in 1977, and that Merc was probably my first love as far as 50's customs
