Universal brake switch

I have one of those universal brake light switches. For the life of me.. I can't figure out how to install the little guy. The only thing I can think of is to use some long machine screws. Then go threw the floor with the screws and kind of have the switch float down there. It has to push down on the arm. The switch when it is in the relaxed position will activate the brake lights. When pressure is applied to the arm the switch will go into the open position, no contact in the circuit will take place and brake light will not light.

To check out this operation, attach voltage multi-meter to the two contacts in the ohm's with alarm position. If meter sounds it is in the N.C. (normally closed position), if it doesn't sound it is in the N.O. (normally open position). Try it!
