universal (hurst) motor mount question...

Is it really taboo to use the hurst front mount with a TH350 and its own original tail mount?

It seems theres only about 4" difference compared to the side mount location.

Thanks for any and all input!

With side mounts, the motor is supported by the mounts. With front mounts you're asking the thin aluminum bell housing to carry the load. I see a lot of them done that way. I wouldn't recomend it.

If you have room get a engine mid mount that goes between the engine and the trans. They are about 1/8" thick then bolt to the frame. That will support the engine. They use this set up in drag cars alot.
