you'll be kickin yourself forever if you have the chance at the cars themselves and only part them out. it's definitely possible to get new titles, even legally! so take the cars too!!!

Man, if you ain't
you would be wise to jump on all the complete cars you could get. In just a day or two you could get all your money back and them some. I hope this ain't just some.. ![]() [ January 11, 2003: Message edited by: Kevin45 ]
|

Grab all the good cars\trucks he might have. After a year or so file a storage lean against the car for more than it is worth. You could have someone who will outbid you since it will basicly go to auction for the amount of the lean, but unless someone outbids the lean, the car is yours with a brand new title. Good luck and grab all the goodies you can. Who knows how much you can sell them for, or what you can use them for.

Hey 59Ford, if you find anything fun for a 63 Nova or a 61 Chevy C-10 let me know, please. I'm still looking for parts. Have fun next week. We're all very jealous.
Now, why can't I find anything like that in California? |

I need a complete drive train. hope you can find a 350/350 and a compatible rearend. Maybe we can bargain. Good find, I live in San Antonio and would love to COME ON DOWNto help you clean up the area. 200 miles is not too far for me to go to help. PM me my e-mail is all screwed up and I may not get it.

Just because you can't take the whole car in one peice doesn't mean you can't take the whole car in peices. Just strip the car(s) down to the frame, load up all the sheetmetal and drivetrain one trip/day and come back for the rest the next. Technically your only taking parts and not the "whole car". get 6-7 people out there with a big ars air compressor and some air ratchets a big flatbed truck or trailor strip them suckers down make a flying trip home and unload then come back for the frames and stack them all on top of eachother. Just watch those coil springs, you could get decapitated rather quickly. Just remember to label the susp. components to what car they belong. Label, bring a few rolls of tape and permant markers or a few different colors of rattle can paint. Of course if your wondering the answer is yes, I've done this before. When I see notices like that in the paper I go straight to Uhaul or Ryder and rent a truck or get someone to rent a truck and hammer out there.
Also you folks out there that see stuff like this you CAN do something about it. Go check your local abandonment laws. Sometimes you can score cool stuff. HK |

HK has the right idea but thtat involves not only alot of work but alot of time to do it in. Here in Texas we are faced with great distances to travel before arriving at the gold mine. From Houston to south Texas (the Rio Grande Valley) is about 500 miles. To West Texas (El Paso)about 700 miles. The far north Panhandle is another 500 miles or so. Even the NE corner (Texarkana) is about 350 miles from here. Louisiana is about 120 miles, but who cares?
I've taken apart cars all over the state and it is work with a capital W-O-R-K doing the traveling and getting there at sun-up to allow yourself the hours it takes to do the job. I love technolgy. |
