Post updating steering column

If all goes well, from all the information learned from this great sight, a 68 chevelle rolling chassis will be under a 40 ply. coupe body. Need to still get a steering / tilt column.
If the steering gear checks out ok, we will be going "gunking" to South Dakota" in a couple weeks to hunt up a tilt column. Need to know approx. what years and makes of columns will bolt up to the 68 gm gear. Thanks for any suggestions. Any welcome. RP

o.k. try using a colum out of a 1989 pont. bonnyville, front wheel drive, the complete unit comes with enough u-joints and slip joints to choke a goat, use the joint from your gearbox, mate it together, you have all you need. you will have to cut away the pon-pon mounting collar. this set-up gives you a real smooth cable shift a lso. you can also use a colum from a 69-72 g-m pickup, or 74-78 g-m van, this is a simple setup.
