I've got a 41 Chevy w/ 7" headlights. Many of the H4 kits on ebay say they are for 7" headlights but the H6024. Anyone care to explain why these could or couldnt' work for me? I have a 12 Volt system and 92 Nissan engine so power wouldn't be a problem.
Well I've looked at many different ones and wasted money on some too. Here is what I've found so far. Some of the ones on Ebay have a TERRIBLE beam pattern, you need to make sure they are DOT certified if you want them to work right. On your 41 the CieBie ones would look great and they are from a name company. Also there is a company called Autopal that makes the 7 inch Len's your looking for. I found a great set the other day BUT they didn't fit in the bucket, so back they went. Make sure you can get dimensions before you buy. The other problem I had was very poor fit. The retaining ring would not hold the lamp tight. I for now have gone back to Halogen, but if your using 7 inch you could look into the Silver Stars from Sylvania, they have a 6024 style. Since you only have one light per side I believe these will work since they are Hi/Lo beam
Are all 7" headlights the same? Would an H6024 fit in the place of my stock headlights? Looks like I can get a pretty good set for around $35 shipped on eBay.
