Upgrading T-400 stall converter - Do I need trans cooler

So i am upgrading my TH400 stall converter from basically stock to a 2800. Do I need to use a seperate trans cooler? If I do, is best to use the current the cooler in the radiator and just add the new trans cooler in line after the radiator or run it completely seperate?
I am using this as a street crusier and will most likely not see the track. Just for having fun with my buddies and taking mama for weekend drives, car shows and ice cream.
Last what type of cooler is best or recomended?

I agree, you might not need one. After market coolers are not expensive either. If you have room you can also add a deeper trans pan for extra oil.all good ideas

Any increase in Stall is gonna increase heat. I say add an Auxillary cooler.
If you live & drive in cold weather get a Cooler that's self-regulating like the TruCool brand.

OK. Great. So now to add this I put this is tne return line route to the trans. Correct?
If I mount this in front of the radiator will this affect my engine cooling or will the air flow simply cool both?
Another question. By adding this in line with the radiator does this help take heat off the radiator or because it is in line after the radiator is doesn't? I am not having any engine heat issues but am just curious.

The Coolers with Barb/Hose fittings come with an Install kit. It will have the Hose & Adapter Fittings for the Rad & Trans cooler line, it connects to the Return/Out line.
It will cool the Trans Fluid so the fluid going into the Rad wont be as hot as before.
Minimal blockage of air flow thru Rad.
