Upholstery help wanted

Hello everyone....This is my first post on here and I am street rodding a '47 Chev sedan delivery and I am closing in on the interior. I am planning to do as much of the upholstery myself so I have been reading all of the books I can find on the subject and I've been watching all of the threads here concerning upholstery. I've gained a lot of knowledge and tips, but I still have a few questions. I have posted a picture of a headliner that I would like mine to be similar to. The way it looks to me, the center section is one piece and the slanted sections around the edge are installed separately making this a 5 piece headliner. What type of fastener would be used--Velcro or something else? I'm also wondering what type of fasteners would be used on the door panels and quarter panels. Thank you for any assistance.

I had the same problem trying to figure out my headliner. Check out the link below that was given to me. It's definitely a better way of making a headliner from the way I was going to do it. Dan

I read the post from the Hamb on the headliner which was a great article. On my 39 chevy 2 door sedan I have the original headliner (multi-panels sewn together with wire bows). Is it possible to make a leather headliner to this pattern and have it work OK?
