I was wondering if anyone has had experience with upholstery kits
good and bad from year one, opgi, paddock or any of the others
I have a 67 chevelle that the guy would like to be taken back to original
& i thought a full interior kit might fit the bill, I had read somewhere in the posts for fords to stay away from MACS and go with Lebaron Bonnie it may cost more but the fit and quality is unmatched

i dont do kit interiors interiors, but have only had negative experiences with the few i did. I do know lebaron bonney doesnt make anything for that new of a vehicle, they only do "Model A and Early Ford Parts"

I did the complete interior of a 69 Camaro except for the seat back and all the stuff came from YearOne. It was an exact replacement for the worn out factory interior pieces and fit like a glove. I was very satisfied. The only way you will get it back to anything close to original is to get reproduction panels.

My wife does custom motorcycle seat upholstery and car interiors and when I decided to do our '65 Mustang, I asked her to do it. She told me lets try an interior kit from California Mustang as it is not for a customer. I purchased the complete kit with carpet, headliner, door panels, seats, dash cover rear shelf cover, everything, including head liner glue and even the "hog rings". for $549.00 in 2003 and it came out excellent, great fit etc. The wife said she will have no problem using kits for customers after that and has used the kits from various suppliers and all have been worth the effort so far with very satisfied customers.

I have had an interior kit in my 63 Impala for about 12 years. Still looks good. One suggestion, replace the foam in the seats while you are at it.

Thanks for the input about the kits, I've used a kit B4 from EZ boy for a 36 ford coupe, the seats fit like a glove but the panels for the doors & back didn't match so i had to rip some seams out and sew them back together so they matched from front to back, if i can ever figure out how to post pics to the project journal i'll put them up
