Upholstery shop recommendation in Chicago Area

I need to have some new old stock seat covers for a 1962 Studebaker "modified" a little. Basically because the exact covers that I need aren't all available (they are a combination of three different vinyls with a fabric seating insert), I need to have fabric from one surplus cover sewn into the area where there are vinyl inserts on the other covers to make the front seat covers match the orignal as well as the NOS rear seat covers. These are 50 year old vinyl and fabric but in excellent condition, but as you can tell, are hard to get NOS. I will install the covers myself as I've done this many times. I just need someone to remove the vinyl inserts and replace them with the fabric. Looks to me to be a simple task since they are just square inserts on the front seat backs (split bench). But I don't want some hack to screw these up, They took me a year to find.

I'm in the NW suburbs of Chicago and have never used an upholstery shop. I've called a few and they all say "no problem". I kinda see that as a problem since they don't even really ask any questions. If I had an industrial sewing machine I could do it myself.

Any recommendations? Thanks.

It may or may not be a simple task. It's not possible to say if 50 year old seat covers will be in that good of shape unless I could see them up close and personal. My perspective would be a little different than yours. Can you post pictures?

Send them to me and I will do the job for you. Send me a PM if you're interested.
