Upper Control Arm Axle Bushings Removal

I want to install no hop bars (Edelbrock) on my Beaumont but I am not quite sure how to get the old bushings for the upper control arms out of the axle housing. I would sure appreciate any advice on how to get them out. I've already installed tubular upper control arms (Jegs)and boxed lowers (Chassis Engineering) and air bags but still have bad axle hop.

Thanks

Steve

A great big Hammer, LOL. I think OTC makes a special tool to push those out with.

Bushings

These bushings are difficult to remove and install. There are special tools to use along with a hydraulic press. If you check with your local machine shop they might be able to help you or let you know who could. I just had some replaced on upper and lower control arms for a Dodge pickup and it cost $50 in labor and was done in an hour. Much cheaper and safer that doing it myself!

After asking around and checking these bushings I think your advice is correct. It's going to the shop this one,
