use 265 crank for 302/use 262 crank for 312

wich would be better combo.im leaning towards the 312 easier to build and cheaper not much difference in the stroke.i did all the math on the 312.i think it would be a screamer.350 block,262 crank 6.0 rods 350 pistons commpression height would be .8 would that work??

In the early 90`s I used to sit and come up with these same combo`s, 262 crank in a 350 block and etc. But after a while, common sense comes into play, what`s the point in building them? you`ll pay more money for less cubic inches, run against a equally prepared 350 with stock rods and get your doors blown off. Not trying to be discouraging, but the extra cash you`ll invest into a 312 you could use to build more power in a 350. This is why destroked engines have never made the popularity of stroker engines, not many want less cubic inches.
