Use a t-350 trans or not

obi kaybe
I have a free turbo 350 available to me, actually i bought it with my car and thought i wouldn't use it so i gave it to my friend for safe keeping until i sold it but now i want to use it. .... should I or should i go for something different?
i have a feeling i'm gonna have to change the drive shaft to fit it along with the cross member. What do yous guys think?
oh also i wonder what kind of rear end i can use or how to re-gear the one i have. I also want to get some 8" wide steel rims with baby moons for the back. I have four lug 13" front and bacK. wanna keep the thinner in front and get eights in back.

welcome to the board.

you have provided no information on the use or the vehicle.

That would be the trans of choice for a Chevy II as far as 3 speed autos go IMO. Also on a budget...

An overdrive trans is also great for fuel mileage but hard to beat free if it is in good working condition.

350

Ditto, on the 350, stray cat.

Hey Jake, how've you been, haven't talked to you in awhile.

And Crosley, I went to 12 mile Indiana this past weekend, to pick up a Sheldon lathe.

The gentleman I purchased it from, specializes in making Crosly automobile parts!

Now back to the thread.

Stray cat, it will be a little tough making too mean a street machine on a college budget, but you will get a lot of tech support from this site.
