Use Trailer Brake Hose for Clutch?
Looking at fitting a hydraulic line for the clutch in my 327 Chevy / Studebaker Lark project and I came across flexible brake lines sold for trailers. They are super cheap too. Like 10 bucks for a 24" length. They have the right size fittings on the ends too. Any thoughts or comments on this? Thanks.

No reason they shouldnt work as far as I can tell. Lucky find.

Why not.
Doesn't need to be DOT certified like flex brake lines, doesn't carry a lot of pressure and sounds reasonably priced.

IS this a plastic line like some of the later GM hydraulic throw out bearings are equipped? If so, I can tell you that when breaking in your engine, having the hose about 2" inches directly above the header will cause the line to melt, and that brake fluid is flammable. Just an FYI.

No it's not plastic. It looks just like the flex hose that is used on the front wheels only less expensive
|
