Using a Gm chassis clip

This just intended for those who are contemplating using a later GM front clip..I trim them to a minimum size while retaining the important attachment points such as the steering box mounting. The picture shows about what you wind up with. of course yours may be somewhat different if it is front steer or came from a different model of car...

When you say trim them, are you meaning narrowing it or shortening it?

What I do is trim the rails so the clip is as short as I can get it..I do not narrow the clip so as to maintain the stock geometry and mounting points of the suspension components. hope that makes some sense..

Remember,.......The motor horsepower rating is directly proportional to the distance your part is thrown when it snatches it from your grip.
I manage to get plenty of distance with a 1/2 horse power motor. JMO.
