Using Ring Style Coil Spring Spacer to Raise M-II Front End?

I want to raise the front end of my hot rod (Mustang II frt end) about 1", then lower it about 1/2" with lower profile tires. That will give me wider tires on the front & more ground clearance.
I'm thinking about using the Mr. Gasket "ring style" 1" coil spring spacers to do this since the front coils are only 3 yrs. old. Has any body used these or have pros/cons on this? BTW, these are the style spacers that you pull the springs & insert under the coil. All suggestions appreciated.
Thanks.

Raising your front end this way would throw your geometry out. The lower control arms are meant to be level when at rest. I'm not sure what would happen if you did raise it this way, but also keep in mind that a 1" spacer under the spring would raise your front end more than 1" because the spring mount is not at the end of the control arms, but more towards the center, therefore a 1" difference in the center would be more like a 2" lift at the wheel.
I'm not the definitive expert on this, though. Others like Willys may have other suggestions.

using ring style spring spacer on m-II front end

I used those spacers in my 39 chev. I cut the coils, and it was too low,so I used a 3/8 spacer and got almost 1" of lift . I did this many years ago and have aligned the front end several times with no problems. The spacers we sell at the shop come in 3/8,9/16,and 3/4. I should say we used to sell,we changed suppliers and no longer carry them.
