V-8 conversion

I have a 97 Dodge Dakota w/4 cylinder & 5 speed. What kind of problems will I encounter in changing over to small block MOPAR(318/360) and automatic overdrive? Will the rear end currently in it handle the torque of a mild small block?

look at the r/t factory truck..

You might need to beef up the front suspension.

It is all factory parts so there are no known issues..the rear end should be fine they are all the same chrysler 8 1/4 inch for all of those trucks..
