v6 chevy year help
I have recently purchased a street rod and am having a couple of problems that I thought someone might be able to help me with. I have a V6 2.8 motor in it with a block number of 140 8068 and need to find out what year it is and what it came out of. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Email of

Couldnt find number you listed 1408068, but I found casting number 14033068 which is 1982-85.

Well it says vin code "1" or "B" but I dont know which character of Vin they are refering to.
Also says RWD so its either out of S10 pickup or Camaro. Maybe you have the engine with HO cam, pistons, and cyl heads. Thats worth a couple hp. I sent you a message too.
