v6 remote oil filter?

I just purchased a 1996 Camaro V6 engine
and transmission for a swap into a Triumph
GT6.Does anyone offer a remote oil filter
locator kit that would allow me to move the
oil filter and do away with the stock filter
mounting hardware? Thanks!

I believe that any remote oil filter for the Chev small block will work. Check Summit Racing or Jegs.

Be careful when you do this, the further you move the remote fitting from the motor the more your oil pressure will drop. The pressure will decrease a certain percent for every foot of line length. You may have to instal a high pressure oil pump.

The problem I have is the aluminum plate
with the oil filter fitting has an oil passageway
that curves down below the engine block.
This curved section contacts the steeringrack
and won't allow the engine fit as low as I
need it to. Do any other 3.8L engines use something different; maybe a front wheeldrive
application? Thanks!
