V6 Vortec crate engine problem
I installed a crate marine engine into my boat last summer. By summer's end I was not happy with it's performance. I did a compression test and found some of cylinders half that of the others on one bank. (I should mention that this is a V6 Vortec Mercruiser Marine engine year model 2010 with roller rockers.)
I am not an engine builder; I know enough to be dangerous. The only assembly work I did on the engine was to install the intake manifold (with new gaskets). This new engine now has about 10 hours on it. I am assuming that the problem is in the valves, but I don't know. Where should I start? Thanks! |

Get back with the ones you purchased the motor from.
If it was GM they have a good warranty. If you touch the wrong thing it could causr the warranty to be void.
