V8 trike??

hey all.
lookin into buildin a v8 trike. Not the ole stubby death trap but one of the longer stretched out ones.
i want a stretched front end so im going to have to use a heavy duty front end but what kind do they use on em? probably use a 12 bolt or 9 inch rear about the width of an s-10.
Anyone know much bout em? Goods...Bads...anything will help. Kinda like one of these. tnx, HG

Very cool.. I always wanted to build one,, Never had a front end fall in my lap.. But will one day.. Don't seem like you would need much as light as it would be.. Alot of tire spin.. So you shouldn't be breaking anything with a light rear end.. But I think I would have to pick the 9''..

I always wanted to build one but I was going to use a Powerglide with a shorty kit and a Vette rear to keep it short.I have seen some use an Ultraglide front end with no problem.I think a Goldwing would be good also, off of one with the 6 cyl.

trike

many yrs ago.. i built a trike with a VW drive train.. worked well and used a std springer 21" over front end. just in case u change your mind.. the vw train was turned backward so the engine was in front.. pulling the ring gear from one side and placing in the other side allowed it to move in normal direction. the shifter was the biggest problem but was solved..
all in all the trike drove great, but very light front end weight.
find one of those factory built v8's and ask questions...

I like this trike. Anyone have any links that have more techincal info on it? I'm interested in more info on how the front wheel/suspension is setup. You have to admit, that engine has the perfect sounding idle!!!
