v8 vega emerency brakes
I have 1974 350 vega that l purchased,l would like to put her on the street,everything is there except the hand emerency brake.l have 8.75 early Chrysler 742 code rear end.Any suggestions

Unless the floorboard was chopped up where the hand brake mounted, I would just see if I could find a replacement and bolt it in. I think that lever was in several different models of GM cars about that time. You will have to fabricate the cable that loops through the link off the handbrake and goes to the cables off the backing plates but you should be able to get that made up at a local machine shop or industrial supplier who makes up cables.
just make sure of your exact measurements before you have it done. |
