In my earnst to have an uncluttered looking engine compartment bereft of the stock vaccum cannister, I plugged up the line from the fuel tank that would go into the cannister.. Not wanting to hi-jack the thread lower down on the page, believe it was AP72 that said he had a load of problems as he was working on a car with the line plugged.. What happens when the line is plugged gennemen, and the cannister is not there anymore??

Friend and I both had identical cutlasses. I blocked off the line and so did he.
Not long after I had nothing but endless fuel pressure problems. His, never developed any. I removed the plug and it was fine, but I didn`t like having to smell fuel vapour everytime I shut the car down. If you can get a vented gas cap then you can block the line without problem, but I think I tried 5 different caps to no avail.
