vacum

high i have a 1983 bax caprice that i just did a motor swap to took out the lil 305 and dropped in a built 400 sbc that i cant get the vacum lines right or going to the correct spots help me please

what kind of carb you running? transmission?

I have a 350 turbo tranny and su cheap elderbrock carb with electric choke

the manifold vacuum line goes to ur trans modulator. the timed vacuum port goes to your distributor. the big line on ur carrb goes to ur brakes. i personally plug the one on the front and use the one in the back. timed vacuum is the port above the throttle plates. as engine speed increases so does the amount of vacuum of the port which pulls ur modulator on ur distributor to add timing. the small vacuum port lowest on ur carb is manifold vacuum.
