Vacuum hose diagram
I am working on a 87 Chev 1 ton van w/a 350 and need a good diagram. Chiltons online won't bring up a picture, does anyone know where else one is available online?

I have an '86 3/4 ton truck w/350 and dual airpumps and egr, if you like, I can send a pic of the hose routing decal on the air cleaner, its still in good shape.
Got lucky and remembered my mechanic son has Mitchel on Demand on this computer. Here is a pic of the '87 G10 through G30 van vac hose routing straight from Mitchell. Vac hose routing for '87 1 ton van. Last edited by Jmark; 09-17-2003 at 11:47 PM. |

Mark,
Looks like you are going to be kept real busy here. Do you have access to a vacuum hose diagram for 1989 Dodge Dynasty with 2.5L 4-cyl.? Thanks Bill R. |

Hi Bill, I think you're right! LOL
The Dynasty has 4 different sheets for the vac hose. 1. 2.5 EFI Federal and High Alt. 2. 2.5 EFI California 3. 2.5 Turbo Federal 4. 2.5 Turbo California Any ideas which one you have? ( I hope) Mark

Hi Bill, well, its still kinda hot here, but getting better. Nights are nice, almost camping time!
Your vacuum routing is really simple compaired to the van! LOL Don't ya love EFI! '89 Dynasty 2.5 Fed vac hose routing

Thanks Mark,
Yes the old Dynasty is pretty simple. It is just my beater that I use in the winter, when they put the &%#@$% salt on the roads here in Michigan. It was my company car a few years ago and is in pretty good shape after 230,000 miles. Have the engine out, rebuilding it and a couple of the vacuum lines broke when I was taking them off. Ah, good ol' Arizona, camping in Oak Creek in the summer and heading for Rocky Point in the spring . . . . . |

Good luck on the Dodge. My '77 chevy truck has 328,000 on it and going strong. Not much rust here but up north in Flagstaff, they started using salt 2 years ago. You won't catch me up there in the winters anymore.
Yep, Oak Creek is a beautiful place. We have a big Coleman tent trailer and an '86 3/4 ton with a cab over camper, loaded and ready to go, but havent been camping in a year! Really sucks! Some how things always come up. Oh well! LOL |

Well they are all basicly cutlass supremes but the 442 is the dressed up one with the VIN 9 HO 307. So yeah, vin 9 307, cutlass supreme.
I'll have to look at my friends mustang later, dont know it off hand. Thanks |

Yeah Mark, I have a '74 Chevrolet C20 with 454 only 192,000 miles though. Good old truck. Have done a valve job once, RV cam & lifters, HV oil pump and Holley carb. It runs like new, but gas mileage is terrible. About 10-11 mpg, whether loaded and pulling a trailer or unloaded.
I grew up in Flagstaff. Didn't realize they were using salt up there now - is nothing sacred? People used to complain a lot about the dust on the highways, after the snow melted and cinders were all over the roads. A little dust is sure better than rust, tho. Thanks again for sending the vac hose diagram for the Dodge. |
