hey jeff, where would you get an ultrasonic transmitter?

i got a throttle response problem, and i cant find a vacuum leak. all I know is it drops vacuum under load. reads 25hg at the manifold and you punch it and it drops off.

i dont know if its a leak or some other prob, but id like to make sure. I cant find any.. neither can the shop for that matter.

thanks r4r

There is a simple tool offered by THEXTON that is a wand and has a regulator valve that you use with a propane bottle. You put the wand to the carb/throttle body opening and open the valve until the idle speeds up. You then merely pass and insert the wand until you get that same RPM increase. There is your leak.

I am a little afraid of shooting solvents onto a hot GASOLINE engine. They leave stain marks on polished aluminum also.
