I'm looking at 2 adjustable switches, 1-6" or 6-22" of vacuum. Which switch do you guys use? It would seem that if you're engine is a stock-mild one then you'd need 6-22" version.... correct? (mine will be on a '76 C10 with a mild 350)

Yes, for a stock to mildly cammed engine the 6-22" switch is what you'll need.
