Value of a Muncie M-21

I have a Muncie M-21 that has been recently rebuilt with new bearings and syncros. All the gears are in great shape and it shifts real smooth. Anyway, I'm going to change over to a T-56 and need to part ways with the Muncie. I've been trying to come up with a value and have seen everything from $600 to $1200 on ebay and craigslist. Anyone have any input into a realistic value for a transmission like this?

If the case is in good shape and its not a numbers matching uber-rare corvette offering; Id say the lower end of the scale is fair. Ive had an M20 for sale locally at 800 bucks and haven't sold it but, to be fair Im not pounding the pavement to get rid of it. Usually you ask 8 and then theres negotiations and you get 650 cash or whatever. Just make sure if you ship it, drain ALL the oil out. I'd get a huge pile of packing peanuts and a rubbermaid tote. punch a couple holes thrugh the lid and the lip under the lid, ziptie it shut and go. Should be able to go UPS Ground and be 80-100 bucks for shipping + supplies and time
