valve covers

i have aquired a set of late 50's embossed valve covers(cool straight bottom edge chevorlet).i have vortec heads,so no direct bolt-on.jegs has an adptr to fit these heads so i could use the covers,i believe its around $130(#555-50120),has or does anybody use these?pros-cons?thanks

I have the adapters, bought them off Ebay for $65. Haven't used them yet, but know plenty of people who have and they are no problem. There are two types out however. One uses an large O ring at the adapter to head mating surfaces. The other and less prefered method uses a gasket. The O ring type is made by GM Performance Parts.

the gm parts is what i also had in mind.thanks for the o-ring tip,mind is made up.thank you ,vince
