I can answer that, but first.. the name of the forum is Hotrodders...not tune up specs. If you had looked at ANY manual,Chiltons, Motors or any number of others, you would have gotten the answer in the minute or less it took me and I haven't had one of those engines for over 30 years. Why do people feel it is neccesary to waste others time getting info that is generally available almost anywhere..even on the internet( there are plenty of 6 cylinder forums). It is EXACTLY these types of posts that has generated the long thread in the general discussion section "engine forum is getting out of hand". It's fine to ask questions regarding info that isn't easily found, but come on ,valve lash specs on a stock engine??? If it was some aftermarket cam that you had no idea where to find the specs, maybe someone here could research it and supply info...BUT stock tune up crap?? This doesn't even belong in the basics section, it belongs at a local garage or library and DEFINITELY NOT in the engine section. Buy a service manual..you apparently need one..the specs are .016C I&E.

I kind of figured that too, hence my seemingly gruff comments. I looked at the time you posted and the time he re-posted, then took a minute to look at the link and figured that he must have not spent anytime looking there.
It wasn't my intention to unload on him, more of an address to ALL the questions that can be answered elsewhere and should with just a wee bit of effort.
