Valve Lash

Could someone please tell me if this is right what I did. I adjusted the valve lash on a 350 Chevy with hyd. lifters on a flat tappet cam. here is what I did with#1 cyl.intake valve at full valve lift I adjusted #6 intake valve. With #8intake valve at full lift I adjusted #5 an so on 4to 7 adj. #3to #2 then #6to #1adj.# 5 to #8adj.#7 to#4adj. an #2 to 3 adj. ALL INTAKES. Then I went to all exhault the same way is this ok thanks Vito

I dunno as I`ve never did it that way before. Takes too much time.
I always adjust them with it running that way I can do one of two things.
I can do the old hot rodders trick of zero lashing the set
Or I can adjust them in the regular fashion and hear what the engine likes
as the tone changes. When I find the sweet spot I leave it there.

Here's a link to adjusting them. I always set mine with the engine off, and have never had to readjust them after it's running. I hate the mess of doing them running!
