I was wondering if there was an easy way to check what kind of lift and pressure my valve springs were good for without taking the head off. If there is no way to find out, then how could I do it witht he heads off. Thanks.
You can to measure the distance between the lowest possible contact point on the retainer and the top of the guide boss. You can also measure what's left on the spring coil spacing. Not knowing wha kind of steel the spring is made from makes things a little more complicated but I can give a good guess If can post these figures here or a PM. Also list what heads you are using and what lift you need.
Moroso makes one that hooks on the rocker part #62390 not 100 percent but it will get you real close on the seat pressure.
