valve springs
the heads i bought from a friend have triple valve springs and the lift capability is .600, the cam im pruchasing is int/exh 300/300 and lift is .518/.530, will the springs work or do i need some different ones?

"Triple springs" might be a true triple setup which would be for a roller cam and have way too much pressure for a flat tappet cam or it could be double springs with a dampner which might be ok.
As Bob mentioned I would measure the spring pressure to be sure. Most solid lifter cams in the range you're using require somewhere in the neighborhood of 130# of pressure on the seat. Trying to use roller springs would eat that cam in a hurry.
