Would need more info on what problem you are having. Also "valve springs" are an engine component, not suspension. So are you referring to springs for suspension or valvetrain?

valve springs

engine valve springs as in engine component NOT suspension NEW KID here!! have a popping sound emitting from flowmaster exhaust with "h" pipe. heard from unofficial sources that this may be a valve spring issue. removed valve covers, rotated engine via relay and saw nothing abnormal, all valves appeared to intake/exhaust the same distance, these are double springs. Engine sees 5800-6000 routinely 1/8th mile. So, the mystery is to narrow down to which cylinder is producing the "POP", steps to take and in what order to track down the culprit. Block is 440HP circa 1967, bored .40 over, w/edelbrock alum performer heads (83?cc), w/1.6 adjustable roller rockers (crane), crane push rods and a Schneider 284/530 solid lifter cam, hi rise single plane, proform 850 mech, msd electronics. tks in advance for ANY direction that can be provided. Jim (USN/RET)
