valve springs
Can you change valve springs out with heads on truck still. or do i need to take off the heads to make it easier??? I am doing my first cam, intake, carb, valve springs swap tonight. And the one weekend it is going to be like 23 tongiht and a high of 42 or something tommorrow. all month it has been nice out but now it has to be cold.

I've heard of guys reportedly cranking the piston to the top and stuffing the chamber with rope or something to keep the valves from dropping down. I don't know if it works or not.
Failing that, without a compressor, I'd say pull the heads. |
