i have 1969 chevy 350 with double hump heads just put a nnew cam and lifter and roller rockers i all so replaced the screw in studs . now i cant adjust valves on 2 valves the rockers bottom out on the studs and are still very loose all the rest are ok . any ideas whats wrong ???? also i did check the push rod length and replaced them

I once had a motor do this. Turned out it was a couple of flat lobes. I know that is not what you want to here.

1)Check the threads on the new studs. They may not be threaded all the way down. Or change the studs BACK to the used ones.
2) the slot in the rocker arms may not be slotted enough if the new cam is a good bit larger than the previous one. I have both of these things happen to me before.
