Then there are ones like this, where the frame is way too big and you KNOW it's a frame swap when you see the truck, you don't even have to go up and look close you see the wheels hanging out too wide, you see the frame hanging below it with no running board brackets and this is what you get. The steering box is right in the way of the rad support and bumper brackets are going to be a huge project. The side brackets are "ok" but with a tiny urethane bushing on the top which is going to rattle the fillings out of your teeth when you drive. And this one is actually pretty decent, I looked it over well and it was pretty decent but again, the guy gave up on it and is selling it.

He might have a mindset like I do. As soon as I can see a viable runner in my mind's eye, she's down the road. My interest is in the planning and building, not the completion and driving. I've sent dozens of 'em down the road unfinished.....NEXT!!

OK the g20 van doesn't seem to be the best choice no ladder frame underneath it, and really different setup off the drive train.
butt engine seems super and it drives very good, so it will be a good donor for engine and tranny, and some accessories like airco and such.

thx for the replies my friends, hope to begin in about two weeks to build up my chassis, and mounting the V8 engine on to it.

anyone an idea for rear axle change to change ratio? or wouldn't it be stupid to do?

I agree to that one and that truck may work just fine for what it is intended to do..I have worked on a lot of things that may have not been "stylish" b but they worked just fine..Around here we have a name for the guys with the "stylish stuff" We call them "profilers"
