Vega box location

Potentially stupid question - Is there a standard location to weld the mounting plate for a Vega streering box's mounting plate on a '34 Ford frame? Or is this a put it where you can kinda thing? I have frame and box w/plate and not too sure hwere to mount.

The frame has a drop axle that I want to keep if this helps. There should be a photo or two in my gallery shotrly too.

Thanks in advance,
Lee

One other thing...

Anyone got a clue what that three holed plate, (see photo '34 Frame 06), behind the front axle control bar mount is for? There are two hole on the outside, (one with a bolt currently hanging there), and one inside where it doesn't show in the photos.

Hi Lee when I did my coupe just where ever it fit, the only thing was told be sure and have your drag link paralle and straight with tie rod so I would first mock it in with pitman arm and drag link all hooked up and see how everything lines up

Zonk,

That's what I thought. There is room in front of the engine mount that is there and will be replaced. The box looks like the angle would be right in line with what it should be.

Thanks.
Lee
